Social Thinker is a home-grown, non-profit organization founded by Georges Schemagin and Erica Zelenak, who share business responsibilities. An important note is the two founders/employees are currently employed and collect no personal compensation from Social Thinker.

Georges Schemagin and Erica Zelenak have a strong sense of social responsibility and have always held giving high on their list of priorities. Social Thinker is an idea that came about so that they could extend giving opportunities and give on a much grander scale. Its mission is to engage the service industry to create new donations and volunteer opportunities for local and national charitable organizations. We at Social Thinker will accomplish this by challenging service industry owners to “raise the bar.”

We offer memberships to service industry businesses with a philanthropic objective. Our membership is for a 12 month period and it offers advertising, promoting, volunteer opportunities, a tax write-off, and a reputable affiliation with Social Thinker. Our membership requires a $100 membership fee, and a pledge of at least 1% of sales of one night of business per month. Promotion and advertising will come in the form of the following:

• Social networking sites like Twitter, Myspace, Facebook, and word of mouth marketing
• Customized events such as happy hours, pub crawls, singles mixers
• Flyers, bulletins, radio campaigns
• Photos of the events posted to drive interest to websites

A secondary offering is our volunteer opportunity section. Social Thinker will regularly collect information from local charities and non-profits in need of volunteers and donations (clothing for Safeplace for example) and post this information on our website. This same information will be put to use for our relationships with local law firms & DWI attorneys, whose clients may need to perform community service.

Finally, we will host your event. Organizations can utilize Social Thinker as their personal party planner so long as their mission complies with the kinds of missions that Social Thinker believes in and supports. We will plan, market, and host your party based on your specific needs and goals. We ask for no compensation other than the costs associated with the planning of the event, the rest of the money raised is for your organization.

• Create a system of pass-through giving, engaging business owners and employees in the service industry to local and national charitable organizations.
• Providing volunteer opportunities for service industry employees to work with local and national charitable organizations.
• Work with local DWI-focused law firms to assist their clients needing to fulfill community service obligations.
